FAQ

When deciding to get your driving licence you should be aware of all additional expenses you’ll need to pay. The full cost of a driving licence includes: – fee for the medical examination – cost of the photo – the driving course – fee for the theory test – fee for the practical driving test – cost of issuing the driving licence

The cost of a driving licence depends on which category of licence you want to obtain. The price of the driving course itself varies by region in Poland, and individual driving schools set different fees. One price that is the same across the country is the fee for the exam at the regional road traffic centre (WORD), which is managed by local authorities.

Before we start lessons, we must obtain a Candidate for Driver Profile. Known as PKK, it’s an identification number assigned to every person applying for a driving licence of any category. The number itself is issued free of charge, but you must submit documents to get it — some of which may incur fees.

To get a PKK you need to have a medical examination and a photo suitable for the document. The medical exam costs 200 zł for OSK SPEED students, and you also need an appropriate photo, which typically costs between 20–40 zł.

To get a driving licence you also need to pay for the course, and after completing training at the driving school — before registering for the state exam — you must pay the fees for the theory test (55 zł) and the practical test (230 zł) for category B. An additional cost is issuing the licence itself, which is 100 zł.

It’s worth remembering that the average pass rate for the driving test on the first attempt in Poland is around 40% across all categories. This figure is increasing year by year, but for most candidates it means an additional cost if you need to pay for the exam again at the regional centre. Some students choose to buy extra refresher lessons.

To enrol in the course, a candidate must have the PKK mentioned above. In addition, a person who is at least 17 years and 9 months old and has written parental consent (for minors) can sign up for the course. You can register for the state exam one month before your 18th birthday, and the driving licence can be collected on your 18th birthday.

Years of experience and a deep passion, together with the reliability of the information we provide, mean our students enjoy very high pass rates and place great trust in us. Practical, dependable guidance for real‑life road situations helps our learners become safe drivers.

Lessons start at Gdańsk Główny, Wałowa Street 24.

We tailor our offer to each client’s needs so the training is completed efficiently and at the most convenient times. That’s why we offer weekend, afternoon and morning courses during the week.

For those short on time, we offer an express individual course that lets you obtain your licence quickly. A beneficial option with more than the standard number of hours is the extended course — it helps candidates prepare even better for the exam and, importantly, to drive more confidently and safely on their own.

We also offer driving lessons in cars with automatic transmissions and can provide such a vehicle for the state exam at the regional testing centre (WORD). For those who want to improve their skills, refresh and reinforce road rules, and gain more confidence, we offer additional driving lessons.

  • theory lectures
  • practical driving lessons
  • first aid course (basic pre‑medical first aid)
  • optional refresher driving lessons
  • teaching materials
  • access to the test database
To meet our clients’ needs, we allow the course fee to be paid in three instalments. The first instalment is 900 zł — required no later than the first day of training. The second instalment of 1 000 zł must be paid by the end of the theory part of the course. The final instalment, covering the remaining balance, must be paid by the 10th hour of practical lessons (it can be split into two parts by prior arrangement).

Anyone who meets the legal requirements and is committed to attending classes, mastering the material and taking the state exam can complete a driving course in Gdańsk. Enrollment is based on the candidate’s age, a positive medical certificate and having a Candidate for Driver Profile (PKK). Payment of the course fee is also required. The PKK is issued by the appropriate road traffic department.

The minimum age to take the state exam differs by licence category. For category B courses we accept people who are 18 years old (or will turn 18 by the time they complete the course). Candidates who want motorcycle entitlements must be 20 years old (if they have held category A2 for at least two years) or 24 years old (to ride any motorcycle).

Each driving course follows the requirements set by the Road Traffic Law. The programme, number of hours and their schedule match those used in other training centres across Poland. Both category B and A licences require passing a theory part (lectures) and practical lessons. Theory for both courses comprises 30 hours, while practical training is 30 hours for category B and 20 hours for category A.

Speed driving school in Gdańsk also offers the option to continue practising skills with additional driving lessons. Each candidate can purchase them individually according to their needs. This not only improves driving ability but also increases confidence during the exam drive.
